When you use Cantaria, we collect the following information:

• Account information: If you sign up, we collect your email address and authentication details through email/password or Google sign-in. Our auth backend is provided by Lovable Cloud.
• Profile information: You may optionally provide a display name, avatar emoji, and favorite instrument. This is shown on your profile if you choose.
• Game data: We store your high scores, stars, max combos, play counts, and last played dates for each song you play while signed in.
• Browser storage: We use browser localStorage to keep your session token and a local high-score fallback, even if you are not signed in.
• Diagnostic data: Limited error and crash information may be collected to help us fix bugs and improve stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to authenticate you, sync your scores and profile across devices, display your progress, improve the Service, and respond to technical issues.

3. How We Store and Share Information

Your data is stored in Lovable Cloud backend services. We do not sell your personal information. We only share data as needed to operate the Service (for example, with hosting and authentication providers bound by confidentiality obligations) or when required by law.

4. Cookies and Tracking

Cantaria does not use third-party analytics or advertising cookies. We do use browser localStorage to keep you signed in and to save a local copy of your high scores. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your account and game data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your profile and game data from our backend within a reasonable time, except where we need to retain information for legal or security purposes.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data. You can update your profile from your account page. For other requests, please contact us through the contact methods available in your account settings.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this page, and the effective date will be updated. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
